Ride Smart group guidance session continuing on from the previous events with some focus on Overtaking and multi-lane roads.
All members and associates are invited to attend the event on a set but varied route to Leathley farm shop and cafe.
The plan will be to meet at 09:30 with briefing 09:45 - the group will be led at an appropriate pace with Observers dispersed through the group.
Depending on attending numbers we may again split into smaller groups setting off at suitable intervals.
I attach some briefing notes from the Advanced Rider Course which will be of relevance and you may peruse at your leisure prior to the event.

We have received the invitation below from Harrogate Advanced Bikers (HAB). Due to the size of the room we are restricted to 15 members from YAM.

Apologies for the short notice but I confirmed yesterday that Richard Gladman (Chief Examiner of IAMRoadsmart for those who don't know) is coming to HAB on Monday (8th June) to give us a talk covering a range of advanced riding topics, including what Examiners are looking for on tests.
Any of your members at the York Group who might be interested would be very welcome. It will start at 7.30 pm prompt at Bilton Cricket Club, Bilton Lane, Harrogate, HG1 3DQ. We hope to see some of you there.

He is called Nigel and he is a blind person who does motorbike racing.

Hi Chris,
Sorry for the delay sending this. Here is the HAB post for our meeting with a visit from Paul Varnsverry from PVE next Monday 13th at Bilton Cricket Club (address in post). We don’t have food at the meetings but you can get a drink and snacks. Please ask your members for their interest and let me know numbers. I’m not currently sure of the maximum capacity but will keep to informed when I get the answer.
